Landlord entered without notice
Your landlord showed up unannounced, used a key while you were out, or entered without 24 hours' written notice.
Landlord won't fix heat, water, or repairs
No heat in winter, broken appliances, leaks, mold, or other maintenance issues that aren't being addressed.
Landlord raised rent mid-lease
Your landlord wants more rent before your fixed-term lease ends, or increased rent without proper notice.
Landlord wants to renovate (N13)
You received an N13 notice to end the tenancy for repairs or renovations, or pressure to leave for a "reno."
Landlord won't return last month's rent or deposit
Move-out is done but your last month's rent deposit or money you are owed has not been returned.
Landlord wants the unit for personal use (N12)
